=== Dallas Mavericks Team Report – December 27 ===

(Sports Network) – The Mavericks posted a 102-88 thumping of the Denver
Nuggets at the Pepsi Center.

Dirk Nowitzki poured in 36 points and pulled down eight rebounds to pace the
Mavericks to the win. Michael Finley collected 20 points and eight boards for
Dallas, which has won eight of its last 12 contests. Erick Dampier chipped in
13 points and 10 rebounds for the Mavericks.

Marquis Daniels had 12 points and Jason Terry added 11 for the Mavericks in
the win.

Back-to-back jumpers from Nowitzki staked Dallas to an 87-81 lead with just
under seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

Denver was able to trim the deficit to 89-86 on Earl Boykins’ three-pointer
with 4:52 left. However, the Nuggets made just 1-of-10 shots from the field
the rest of the way and watched the Mavericks close the contest with a 13-2
spurt, highlighted by six points from Nowitzki, to win going away.

Dallas’ Jerry Stackhouse sat out his fourth straight game due to a sore right
hand. It is unknown when Stackhouse will return to the court.

The Mavericks have just one day off before hosting Boston on Tuesday evening
at AmericanAirlines Center.
